O PECADO DE JOÃO AGONIA From Bernardo Santareno

 

ABOUT THIS EXERCISE:

“From the social point of view, although we describe ourselves as free, we are only a product of the society to which we belong. Freedom never ceases to be an ideological utopia of each one of us. ”

SYNOPSIS:

The conflicts begin with the arrival of a neighbour who attended the same military barracks as João Agonia, a certain Manuel Lamas, who, in a malicious way, releases the poison an event which had eventually taken place in the barracks.
The tension grows with the unfolding of the story. The characters suffer some changes, caused not so much by the “revelation” of this event, but mainly by the discriminatory power of the society in which they are inserted.
The doubts and indecisions come to an end and they manage to solve the problem, even if macabre, mainly due to the characters involved in the decision-making.
