Sinopse:
What is the meaning of a book? How many ways are there to say or understand it? How many ways are there to bring it to humanity? A book is a powerful object which approaches or distances itself from whoever owns the other half of the key to it; the code of knowledge. In playing mode, within the Book Fair, the group of actors interacts with the many visitors, giving voice to various messages.
But, truth be told, if the world were a book, what would it change?
We’re thinking about it. What about you…?
WHAT IF THE WORLD WERE A BOOK?
I had to read it aloud,
for all to hear
until they understood …
until something changed.
I would sit and rewrite
many of its pages,
day and night, without stopping,
until everyone agreed on its essence.
The world needs
to review and rewrite its book.
Fix its fragile pages,
Heal its ill pages,
Rip off its frenetic and dying pages.
And add all the pages that haven’t been written, yet…
One must read.
One must read the world and reinvent it.
Read, read, read … without stopping.
Drink the words in and free from the anchorages.
One read to learn.
Read to know.
Read to beat the unknown and erase ignorance.
Change start and the end of so many life stories.
Learn to look;
To apprehend knowledge
and share, share, share
as much as one can.
It’s important to rewrite:
peace, tolerance, respect,
the right to difference,
the right to freedom,
the right to be whole and happy!
And one must delete:
prejudice, violence, ignorance, the sense of false power and lies …
One has to be crazy about this half-open book.
One has to read it, write it and love it.
Long live books!
Long live everyone Crazy for Books!
CFB, CFB, CFB ….
